I finally made the homemade recipe myself, and re-evaluated the calorie content using the actual foods I used in the recipe. It is really good!
I’m still working on getting Nathan to try it. He is highly suspicious of nuts because he is allergic to peanuts and has issues with cashews (his throat gets tingly when he eats cashews).
He’s been snacking on the chocolate chips, and has been asking questions about the “Nutella.” I think he may try it soon!
Don’t put it in the refrigerator, unless you want it to be candy bar-like in hardness. At room temperature, it is very similar in texture to freshly ground peanut butter (without the oil separation).
