BLACK PIONEERS IN FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH PROJECT
Every February, we celebrate Black History Month, a time to honor the unique achievements of members of the African American community.
To commemorate this occasion, I've created the Black Pioneers in Food Science and Technology Research Project.
This exciting educational resource provides insight into 12 prominent figures who have made significant contributions to the field of food science and technology throughout history.
You and your students will get to explore the world of food through inspiring stories about each innovator's life and accomplishments.

Each of these figures left an unforgettable mark on today’s culinary world, creating delicious heritage dishes, healthier foods, and revolutionary technology.
Have an exciting learning experience with each figure by creating fun activities such as reading stories about their life, analyzing their work, comparing them to other heroes in history, writing reports on their accomplishments or evaluating how they influenced modern science and culture.
